I’m Taber Shadburne M.A. – counselor, teacher of transformation, spiritual guide, conscious community builder, founder of the Church of Soul, and creator of R/evolutionary R/elating, as well as a professional musician, dancer, and film-maker.

I’ve spent most of my life learning the subtle art of creating deep connection – inside & out – and then teaching that art to others for over 25 years.  I didn’t start down this path just for the fun of it – I needed it.  My passion & purpose sprang from my pain.  So I spent many years down in the trenches of transformation – living & practicing in a Zen center, studying with many spiritual teachers, training as a psychotherapist, and diligently attending the school of the hard knocks of intimate relationship!  I teach what I had to learn, through much (often challenging) personal experience – and the learning continues...

In a kind of 21st-century tantric alchemy, I can help you use the big emotional energies we usually fear – shame, anger, grief, sex, conflict, love, joy – as fuel for healing, growth, transformation, and service.  Together, we can learn to embrace and transmute all of the pains and pleasures that we usually avoid and turn them into GOLD.
